S & S Hope Learning Concepts, LLC provides tutoring services for
academically challenged Title 1 students. This center is owned and operated
by Arleatha S. Swackard.
This provider has 16 years of educational experience as a Special
Education teacher, Remedial Reading teacher, a Site Coordinator for
academic enrichment in reading, and job counseling for students and
adults. This Educator has worked with all grade levels between elementary
and high school.
In 2009 and 2010 this provider tutored 24 students in reading and 95% of the
students achieved a Level 3 on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (
FCAT) and 92% of the students either passed to the next grade level or
graduated from high school.
Furthermore, this educator worked with students in reading grades 9-11
and 96% of these prodigies, who previously failed the FCAT, scored a
Level 3 in reading. This provider has selected research- based programs in
reading that are specifically designed to meet the individual academic
needs of all students that participated in this tutorial program. The
resources selected were designed to be effective in remediating all
struggling students including Special Education (SPED), English Language
Mrs. Swackard holds a Bachelor in Social Work, a Masters in Curriculum
and Instruction, a Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership and
a Certification in Varying Exceptionality.
S & S employs certified State of Florida teachers, Title I Paraprofessionals,
and Program Coordinators who have been recommended by School Administrators.
The staff consists of education professionals with over 30 years of experience
in meeting the educational needs of our children, families, and schools.
